Coltishall Jaguars Host First 10K Race at Wroxham Barns
9th Mar 2025
Local running club, the Coltishall Jaguars Running Club, brought their energy and enthusiasm to a brand-new venue on Sunday, March 9th, hosting their first-ever 10K race at Wroxham Barns—a picturesque setting that proved a hit with runners and spectators alike.
Although the Jaguars are no strangers to organising popular community races, this marked the first time they’ve held an event at Wroxham Barns, offering participants a scenic route through the surrounding Norfolk countryside.
The course, which combined peaceful rural roads with the vibrant atmosphere of the Barns, welcomed runners of all levels, from club regulars to first-time 10K participants. Supporters lined parts of the route, and Wroxham Barns provided a lively hub for post-race celebrations.
“It was a fantastic day,” said a Coltishall Jaguars spokesperson. “Wroxham Barns gave us a brilliant new setting to host the event, and the feedback from runners has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re already thinking about how we can build on this for future races.”
The event not only showcased the Jaguars’ reputation for hosting well-organised and welcoming races but also highlighted their strong connection to the local community. With local businesses and volunteers helping to support the day, the race was as much about togetherness as it was about the finish line.
Wroxham Barns, known for its family attractions and support for local initiatives, was proud to be part of the event and is expected to host similar community activities in the future.
