Key points you should be aware of at a glance:
Site in General
We’ve been operating safely in the pandemic for almost a year now, so have everything (and much more in place) that you would expect to ensure you are safe, when we reopen again from Monday 12th April. Alcohol hand rub stations are in place around the site. Social distancing queuing systems in place where applicable. We are cashless in Gallery gifts, Junior farm & Fun Park, Farmyard café and Courtyard Cafe. Perspex screens at till points to keep you and our team safe. One-way farm and Fun Park system, certain indoor areas such as indoor play will remain closed for the time being, and hands-on animal activities suspended. Pre booking only for Junior Farm & Fun Park (including season pass holders and vouchers), enhanced cleaning practices. Plus face coverings are compulsory in indoor areas for anyone over the age of 11yrs (unless medically excempt).
Initially when we open again, indoor catering is not permitted so we will only be opening our Courtyard Cafe for food, and have a new 29 metre long covered outdoor eating area, plus you can also eat in the overflow farmyard cafe outside seating area. We now also have an app where you can order food and drinks and have them taken to your table, or you can still be served by our friendly team. Please don’t reposition tables as they are strategically placed to make social distancing easy for you and other diners. Please queue with social distancing in mind, and follow the clearly displayed entrance and exit routes.
Please note we now operate tray service food offerings, and afternoon teas must be booked in advance.
Junior Farm & Fun Park
Moving forward we have to ensure Wroxham Barns is sustainable and offering the best experience possible to our guests, during our closure it has allowed us breathing space and to reassess our business to ensure we continue welcoming thousands of visitors for many more years to come. Lots has changed in the past 37 years since opening, most notably the seasonality of our attraction side of the business (Junior Farm & Fun Park) and we haven’t had (until now) the opportunity to re-act and modify our offering to reflect this. So, from re-opening, Junior Farm will open Weekends from February Half term – October Half term, plus everyday for each school holiday, finally, reopening again for our Christmas experience at weekends in December. This change allows us to really enhance our offering and experience on Junior Farm and The Fun Park. As you may know the Fun Park has undergone a huge refurbishment and is now included in your entrance ticket, for unlimited play and no coin operated rides.
We are fortunate that our studios are small enough that capacity can be easily managed. Our colleagues who operate Studios at Wroxham Barns have their own procedures but have implemented best practices to ensure they are Covid-19 Secure. Gallery Gifts & Clothing has implemented a capacity driven system and one way routes.
