November 2020 Update:
From Thursday 5th November we are once again closing our doors temporarily at the end of our final firework event, for we hope a period of 4 weeks.
Whilst disappointing we are feeling optimistic this time around and plan to push ahead behind the scenes preparing for an exciting December. Our remaining 2 firework events are going ahead as planned.
We have tickets launching next week for 3 VIP magical Christmas evenings in December which will be on a hugely reduced capacity to previous years, so look out for info on this soon.
We hope to be able to host our sell out Christmas Experience, however, if guidance and updates change and mean we cannot offer this event, we will update you all via email, but fingers crossed this won’t be the case!
Our animals will still have a full time junior farm team looking after them and giving them extra attention whilst they’re missing our valued visitors.
As ever, we really do appreciate your support, throughout our closure, our phone lines will not be on and we will have no office team in place, we will reply via email but please bear in mind we are working on a hugely reduced team, during a challenging and stressful situation, so will be much slower than usual to get back in touch, so your patience is appreciated.
We look forward to welcoming you back in December for a month of (almost) normal festivities in the uniquely Wroxham Barns way.
We look back fondly on our 37 years, but there’s no doubt this is the most challenging year we have ever faced.
Best wishes, stay safe and we will see you soon
We are so pleased to be reopening from 4th July 2020. Things will inevitably be different moving forward, to ensure you all have a safe AND enjoyable time at Wroxham Barns. We open daily from 10 – 5pm.
Key points you should be aware of at a glance:
Site in General
Alcohol hand rub stations are in place around the site. Social distancing queuing systems in place where applicable, every other toilet, urinal and sink closed off. We are going cashless in Gallery gifts, Junior farm & Fun Park, Farmyard café and Restaurant. Perspex screens at till points to keep you and our team safe. One-way farm and Fun Park system, certain indoor areas such as indoor play will remain closed for the time being, and hands-on animal activities suspended. Pre booking only for Junior Farm & Fun Park (including season pass holders and vouchers), enhanced cleaning practices.
The Farmyard Café is open daily from 4th July 10 – 5. Please don’t reposition tables as they are strategically placed to make social distancing easy for you and other diners. Please queue with social distancing in mind, and follow the clearly displayed entrance and exit routes.
The Restaurant: Unfortunately, we can’t offer table service at the moment, so we’ve put that on a hiatus. We have reconfigured the restaurant and it will reopen from 22nd July with a new counter area, one way system and tray service options. We’ve also added a new exit door leading to a HUGE covered 20 x 10 metre eating area. We are working on our offerings, but may not be able to honour afternoon tea and other vouchers for the time being, but our team are more than happy to accommodate as much as is practical.
Junior Farm & Fun Park
Moving forward we have to ensure Wroxham Barns is sustainable and offering the best experience possible to our guests, during our closure it has allowed us breathing space and to reassess our business to ensure we continue welcoming thousands of visitors for many more years to come. Lots has changed in the past 37 years since opening, most notably the seasonality of our attraction side of the business (Junior Farm & Fun Park) and we haven’t had (until now) the opportunity to re-act and modify our offering to reflect this. So, from re-opening, Junior Farm will open Weekends from February Half term – October Half term, plus everyday for each school holiday, finally, reopening again for our Christmas experience at weekends in December. This change allows us to really enhance our offering and experience on Junior Farm and The Fun Park. As you may know the Fun Park is undergoing a huge refurbishment, this will be completed by 22nd July and from this point Junior Farm and The Fun Park will become one combined and exciting offering/ticket moving forward – we just know you’re going to love it!
We are fortunate that our studios are small enough that capacity can be easily managed. Our colleagues who operate Studios at Wroxham Barns have their own procedures but have implemented best practices to ensure they are Covid-19 Secure. Gallery Gifts & Clothing has implemented a capacity driven system, if there is a basket outside please enter, if not, please wait for someone to leave the studio.
