Wroxham Barns’ popular lamb-feeding sessions will be back again this year, running from the February half-term, which begins on 10th February, and continuing until late June.

Wroxham Barns is one of very few places in East Anglia where visitors can bottle-feed lambs so early on in the year and the sessions will take place every day in the main barn on Junior Farm at 11am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm. At these times, children and adults alike can have a go at feeding the lambs and will also learn more about them.

Everyone loves bottle-feeding the lambs, as they are so adorable. The lambs are orphan animals which come to us from Norfolk and Suffolk farms and the farmers are very grateful to us for looking after them. We get them when they are really tiny, so people often come back several times over the spring to feed them and to see how they’re getting on. We usually have at least two dozen lambs and they are always very hungry, and we make sure all our visitors have a turn at bottle-feeding them. The Junior Farm is a great place for all the family, as it’s also home to all sorts of other animals as well as our lovely indoor play area, Piggy’s Play Sty, for the under-10s, where they can have fun whatever the weather. The children’s fun fair and mini golf course will also be open during half-term.

Please remember that lamb feeding on Junior Farm is very popular and whilst we always endeavor to ensure everyone gets a chance to bottle feed the lambs we recommend visiting during the week when it’s quieter than the busy weekends.
