GoGoHares 2018 raised an incredible total of £409,600 for Norfolk charity Break as they celebrate their 50th anniversary working with vulnerable children, young people and families and Wroxham Barns are very proud to have taken part with Betsy, our Moongazer GoGo Hare.
Betsy, named by Diane Pearson who was inspired by Norwich-born prison reformer Elizabeth Fry, was beautifully painted for us by artist Bridget Parsons to reflect her Norfolk heritage and her BIG personality. She loves the wide-open skies, the cornfields and wants to keep alive those old Norfolk traditions, enjoying being just a hop, skip and a jump from the Broads. So, we’re delighted to announce that she’s now joined the Wroxham Barns family permanently, alongside Cammi from the 2009 Go Elephants campaign and Harriet the Hippo from the North Walsham Hippo Trail.
Break will be Wroxham Barns’ official Charity partner for 2019 as we raise funds to help support their invaluable work with young people in care, children with disabilities, children at risk and family support too. With Children’s Homes in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and a Therapeutic Fostering Service, their Moving On Team also continues to support young people leaving their care.
