Maria was taught to sew, knit, crochet and embroider by her mother in Holland, but Terry came to the business after leaving the airforce. The couple opened at the Barns in 1997, producing children's clothes to their own designs, using brightly coloured fabric. Their range includes T-shirts, fleece tops, dungarees, dresses, jackets and coats.
