We are looking for full and part time chefs. We are eager to find well rounded, experienced chefs to join our team at our very popular restaurant-café. This website will give you a good insight into the many facets of our business and what we offer to visitors.

Here is some key information that may be of interest:
  • We are open 7 days a week all year round, from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. (last orders at 4.45 p.m.)
  • We have an 84 covers table service Restaurant-Café and a 36 covers self service coffee shop. In addition we have some outdoor benches for customers.
  • We pride ourselves on all our food being fresh cooked, with an emphasis on local suppliers.

What do we look for in our staff?
  • A real enthusiasm for food and quality.
  • A clear sense of teamwork, a willingness to work to find solutions to problems, a positive attitude to work and colleagues.
  • A “can do”, “best foot forwards” approach to your work……and a good sense of humour; we like characters, not clones!
  • A willingness to take on responsibility when required, but also a willingness to work under direction.
  • Flexibility, a willingness to adapt and improvise when needs demand, we do get very busy sometimes.
  • A sense of enjoyment in giving good service, of going the extra yard for our customers and your colleagues, pride in a job well done.
  • Experience of working in a commercial kitchen is essential.
  • We will need to see references for your current and recent posts, and will follow up references.
  • Experience of pastry/baking work would be an advantage.
  • You will hold current Food Hygiene certificates and be able to demonstrate a sound approach to food hygiene and best practice.
  • Honesty and good timekeeping are essential.
  • We need full (5 day week) and part-time staff.
  • Weekend work is a mandatory part of this appointment.
  • We offer competitive rates of pay, depending on experience.
