All Change at Lads and Lasses in the Norfolk Broads

Jeanette and David Packham, owners of Lads and Lasses at Wroxham Barns, well-known for children’s fleeces, have introduced their own new range called Sugar & Spice – locally made clothes for the under sevens.
The Packham’s bought Lads and Lasses just over a year ago. The Mitchell’s established the business in 1997 and focussed on children’s fleeces.
“We decided that we wanted to expand the clothing range at Lads and Lasses,” said David Packham. “We still stock fleeces but have also added a selection of quirky and unusual range alongside the more traditional children’s clothes, including our own brand, Sugar & Spice.”
Designed by Jeanette and David and made up by Hellesdon based seamstress, Angela Gale, Sugar & Spice outfits are 100% cotton from Asia and have sound ethical origins. Items include girls tops, skirts and dresses and baby dungarees. There are also new Sugar & Spice fleeces for under fours.
David Packham boosts the locally made theme with his colourful baby comforters. “Wroxham Barns is well-known for its excellent craft studios,” added David Packham, “so I was very keen to have my own craft.”
Sugar & Spice is complemented by national brands like Alice Collins – Little Josh and Little Alice, Tiny Tulip, Sweet Elegance, Powell Craft, Olive and Moss baby clothes and from June, Mitty James, Lazy Jacks Nautical theme clothing. Authorised agent for Yoo-Hoo Friends.
