Rosie Has Sixteen Babies in the Norfolk Broads
This is Rosie's second litter (age two years and six months). She gave birth to 14 piglets last July. Dad was a Landrace boar who lives near Cromer.
Ian Russell, Wroxham Barns Director, said; "We are all tired and emotional at Wroxham Barns today, especially Eileen Calverley, our Farm Manager who acted as Rosie's midwife."
Visitors can see Rosie and her piglets in their pen. Junior Farm is open daily 10am to 5pm, admission is £3.50 (under three free).
Wroxham Barns, is 10 miles from Norwich, take A1151 to Wroxham then follow brown and white tourist signs for 1.5 miles on the Tunstead road.
